1. Men hate it when women criticise other females – we have the irritating habit of noticing every flaw about other women, whereas men have the irritating habit of never noticing anything!

2. Women’s jealousy exasperates men – he is late home from work or is making secretive phone calls and we instantly presume he is having an affair. This is not a sexy quality to display. Although it is always worth pointing out to him that he could have called home to let us know. That's manners, not jealousy.

3. Some women want all their man’s time to be devoted to them only – give him space and keep him keen. He’ll come home eventually.

4. He hates it when you cry – save the tears for times when it really counts. Bursting into a river of tears over the time he forgot to put the loo seat down is pointless. Use these wet weapons to gain privilege points and to make him feel guilty when he knows he is in the wrong. You may get a new handbag from it.

5. Men hate a woman’s love of shopping – leave him at home and hit the mall with your girlfriends. They won’t mope around outside the changing rooms, playing with their iPhones and then lie and say you look great in that lemon-yellow, peplum dress.

6. Men hate how much women talk – we admit that we do have the bad habit of repeating ourselves, but that is only because he doesn’t listen the first time. Also, women’s brains easily conceive every minute and essential detail while men struggle with this concept.

7. Men hate when sex is used as punishment – True, but in the early days of your relationship this is an effective method of making him realise you are upset and one positive is, we get a blissfully early night!
